Contribution of Fisheries is 3.61% to GDP
Contribution of Fisheries is 24.41% to total Agricultural production

From 2008-09 to 2016-17 ie during the last decade 78.50 MT fish fingerling stocked in Open water
Total 68 Fish Farmer’s society formed which comprises total of 25,928 member
From 2008-09 to 2016-17 ie during the last decade modern fish culture training provided to total of 19,500 fish farmer.
Total 460 Demo Farm established during the last decade
Indigenous Tangra fry artificially produced and farmer level culture extension carried out with the involvement of BFRI(Saidpur Sub Station)
